Wow I cannot believe how long it has been since I updated a blogpost! I guess I have just been spending all my time reading books as opposed to writing about them hahaha. So here we go, starting with a book I finished at the end of April.
I think I have made it pretty obvious that I love Ursula K. Le Guin what with reading lots of her books and singing their praises and Rocannon's World is just another wonderful story to add to that list. Delving into a phenomenal sci-fi world with a motley crew of alien races was refreshing to read. If you enjoy space exploration with a dash of inter-galactic war thrown in then this may pique your interest.
We find ourselves following Rocannon, an anthropologist, as he leads an expedition of the first ethnographic survey of a small planet known as Fomalhaut II. The planet is filled with primitive life forms who have limited technologies developed. While observing and learning about the various life forms on the planet Rocannon finds his expedition is not the only group of foreigners on the planet. Fighting alongside the natives to secure the planets freedom and safety throughout the galaxy Rocannon leaves behind a notable legacy.
